＊ Title : Navigating Uncertainty Challenges in Classification and Language Generation

     This seminar explores whether models can recognize their uncertainty, focusing on two key areas: classification tasks and language model (LM) generation.

     The first part examines how well a model's predicted probabilities match actual outcomes, emphasizing the importance of calibration for reliable predictions in classification settings.

     The second part introduces recent research on quantifying and addressing uncertainty in LMs, highlighting its implications for improving model reliability and trustworthiness.
